SOAP INGREDIENTS: ADDITIVES


  • Almond Meal – absorbs excess oil and unclogs pores
  • Aloe Vera Gel – sooths sensitive skin
  • Apricot Kernels, ground – eco option to plastic beads
  • Bran – mild exfoliator
  • Buttermilk – suited for hard oils, fresh liquid or powdered can be used
  • Calendula – dried marigold petals
  • Carrot – high in vitamin A, peel and grate fresh carrots
  • Cherry stone, ground
  • Cinnamon, Ground – mild exfoliator, antiseptic
  • Cocoa Butter – softens and smooths skin
  • Coconut shell – fine exfoliating powder
  • Coffee – fresh, unbrewed coffee grounds absorbs skin odours
  • Honey – suited for hard soaps, softens and smooths skin
  • Jojoba beads – gentle exfoliator, multiple colours available
  • Kombucha – fermented black tea
  • Lavender – dried or fresh flowers, finely ground
  • Loofah – dried, strong exfoliator
  • Lemon – juice, fresh or dried zest, antibacterial, high in vitamin C
  • Milk, cow/goat – fresh or powdered, natural cleanser, suited for hard oils
  • Oats, rolled – grind into small pieces, soothes sensitive skin
  • Olive stone – finely ground exfoliator
  • Poppy Seeds
  • Pumice – finely ground volcanic rock, white to black colours, strong exfoliator
  • Pumpkin seeds – finely ground exfoliator                                                      
  • Rose petals – dried
  • Salt – finely ground
  • Sand – clean, strong exfoliator
  • Strawberries – fresh, contain skin tightening acids, high in vitamin C
  • Walnut shell – finely ground exfoliator
  • Witch hazel – cleanses and tightens skin
  • Yoghurt powder – soothes and rejuvenates the skin
